    Have you completed two clinical placements or one clinical placement and have a minimum of 6 months experience as a caregiver?

    Do you have excellent communication skills, intermediate plus computer skills and a positive friendly approach?

    Bureau employs over 400 casuals, consisting of registered nurses, midwives, healthcare assistants and mental health assistants.

    These casuals are utilised across ADHB to cover planned and unplanned leave. They provide support where the acuity is high, provide expertise when needed or to cover in areas where recruitment needs have not been met.

    We are currently looking for current Nursing and Midwifery students to work on a casual basis to provide care and support to patients, their families / whanau and to the healthcare team.

    You will work under the direction and delegation of registered nurse / midwives or other registered health professionals in providing basic care for patients and in maintaining a safe, pleasant and functional ward environment.

    Essential requirement for this position :

  • You should be a 2nd year nursing or Midwifery student and should have completed two clinical placements or
  • You should be a 1st year student in second semester and should have completed one clinical placement and have 6 months caregiver experience.
  • In return, you will have exposure to the clinical environment, an opportunity to network, competitive pay rates and orientation as required.

    Please note these are casual positions and work is on as and when required basis with no guaranteed hours.

    The hourly rate will be $20.08 approx., plus 8% holiday pay, as per our collective agreements.
