Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL)is a busy diagnostic facility providing services to inpatients and outpatientsat Canterbury DHB Hospitals within Christchurch.

The Role : Where you fit in

Youwill be an enthusiastic, have a professional approach in all that you do andenjoy working in a varying environment. You will be supporting ClinicalDirectors, a Service Manager, Microbiology and Core Laboratory Staff and have Laboratorywide portfolio’s together with being part of the CHL Administrative Teamproviding Laboratory wide support.

Your key duties will be :

  • Ensuring communications are efficient and supporting the application of all CDHB policies, processes and tools
  • Proactive issue and relationship management to enable managers’ priorities and business objectives to be successfully achieved
  • Provision of confidential administrative support
  • Acting in a liaison role with staff of CDHB and directing them to the appropriate contact person
  • Diary management, travel arrangements, screening of calls and visitors, meeting minutes
  • Arranging functions and workshops
  • Supporting with presentations, management meetings and training workshops
  • To be successful in this role, you will have thebelow competencies :

  • High level of confidentiality
  • Previous personal assistant experience (essential)
  • Experience in minute taking (essential)
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite programmes (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and really nurture relationships
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
