About the role

The purpose of the Senior Reporting Analyst is to develop and deliver the ICT reporting framework for the ICT work programme, investments and performance.

  • They will provide reporting for ministerial and senior management audiences that combines data and information from multiple sources across ICT;
  • design and deliver management information about the ICT investment to support managers, staff and Senior Responsible Officers in their decision-making, oversight and action;
  • establish performance measures to be used in the reporting framework, and work with the ICT Branch to automate reporting dashboards to streamline delivery on reporting commitments.

    Establish an ICT reporting and management information framework that will be used to meet the needs of external and internal audiences.

    We are looking for you to demonstrate in your Cover Letter & CV the following :

  • At least a 5 year proven track record of experience and achievement developing and delivering reporting, management information and analyses utilising complex information.
  • Proven experience in developing integrated reporting or reporting frameworks that can serve multiple audiences and use data and information from multiple sources.
  • Specific experience with tools to design and build reports and create reporting dashboards that are rooted in the information needs of key audiences.
  • Wide ranging knowledge of systems and tools for reporting and the ability to analyse data requirements and design solutions using appropriate business intelligence tools.
  • Strong experience working with large databases and the ability to generate reports from the information in the database
  • Self-management and interpersonal skills.
  • Relationship management skills and the ability to establish productive working relationships with other agencies that may have conflicting or opposing priorities and objectives.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in line with good customer service.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and establish working relationships inside and outside the organisation.
  • Strong commitment to providing outstanding client service and public value for money.
  • Working knowledge of public sector processes.
  • Tertiary qualification in information management, analysis or related area
  • Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand
