Alliance Group has an exciting opportunity to join our plant operations team as a at our Smithfield Plant situated in Timaru, South Canterbury.

The Timaru community offers a family friendly environment with all the infrastructure you would expect of a larger town, with plenty of leisure activities on the doorstep.

The Management team at plant is supportive and close knit, so fitting in with current team dynamics is a must.This role reports directly to the Plant Manager, with a dotted reporting line to the Regional Human Resources Manager, making this a great opportunity to expand your current knowledge and skills in Human Resources.

About You

We are seeking a suitably qualified HR professional with an NZQA level 3 or equivalent with demonstrated hands on HR experience in a manufacturing site or large industrial site.

With the ability to provide end to end HR administration and coordination support in a fast paced, dynamic environment.You will support the Plant Supervisors and Managers in most HR administrative queries.

You will also support the Plant and Regional HR Manager in the delivery of Human Resources initiatives. You will have demonstrated experience in HR processes, which support employee lifecycle activities including recruitment and selection, onboarding and induction, training and development, benefits enquires, and employee retention.

We are looking for resilient professionals with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills who brings a strong sense of personal drive and integrity, and accountability to deliver.

In addition, you will role model our values (Care, Accountability, Communication, Team, Initiative and Courage) that underpin our way of working.
