Here at Auckland Transport we are taking Auckland's transport system into the future, connecting our city to give kiwis easy journeys.

We are now seeking a Digital Designer for the Civil Engineering Design team to provide digital / computer-based solutions and to assist with the review of both internal AT and external third-party projects.

Key Responsibilities will include :

  • Triage of transport asset and infrastructure problems requiring civil engineering design / draughting,
  • Visualisation - video / images / VR / AR, 2D and 3D design.
  • Civil engineering design / draughting using a variety of computer-based tools and programs, such as Civil 3d, Vehicle tracking, Revitt and / or SketchUp
  • Knowledge of GIS data processing is an advantage.
  • Fieldwork which would include site observations / measurements and data recording. Some land survey skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Work closely with other team members and provide support to both the Civil Engineering Design team and wider Design and Standards team in managing internal and external providers.

  • Assist in the creation of Digital Design tools and Standards
  • What are we looking for?

    Minimum :

  • Relevant degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline
  • 5-10 years work experience in the digital design / draughting field with practical experience, especially in the roading and general civil engineering area,
  • A high level of capability in producing a wide variety of civil engineering, design / draughting work, plans and detailing within a digital environment.
  • An intermediate level of expertise is required.
