We are looking for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Business Administrator for our Corps (Church) and Community Ministries Centre based in Greenmeadows, Napier.

About the role

The Business Administrator is responsible for human resources, financial, and facilities functions for Napier Corps in order to ensure organisational effectiveness and efficiency.

We are looking for a person with passion and energy with a minimum of three years' experience in business administration, who is highly organised, adaptable, and takes initiative.

Your outstanding interpersonal skills will see you quickly build healthy relationships with employees, contractors and management.

Key tasks :

Financial Administration;

Human Resources Support;

Property Management;

Strategic Development;

Mission Support;

Health & Safety.

Person specification :

Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices;

A relevant accounting qualification, with experience in a similar hands-on accounting role;

Experience with payroll systems and associated HR requirements;

Highly developed written and oral communication skills;

Self-motivated and uses initiative;

A positive, can-do attitude;

The ability to work methodically and systematically with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;

Analytical and proactively looks to improve operational systems and service delivery;

Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to work within a team;

Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure;

Commitment to the Mission of The Salvation Army and be able to work within The Salvation Army structure and systems.
