Our Role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor reporting to the Plant Manager. This role is part of the site leadership team and will lead a shift roster team to ensure that high quality lime is produced in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer demands across both our Te Kuiti & Otorohanga sites.
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to.
Helping ensure that safe production, in line with Graymont standards, is maintained at all times.
Facilitate plant startup and shut down as required and directed by Plant Manager.
Ensure efficient operations of 2x lime kilns and associated equipment
Overseeing production planning to ensure that both domestic and export customer needs are met. This includes overseeing a team of 13 shift workers & 5 Monday-Friday day workers
Create and sustain excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with plant improvement opportunities such as process changes and CAPEX projects. This includes submitting relevant justifications
Coordinate safety risk management activities and ensure site and plant housekeeping is maintained.
Supervision of employees, contractors and visitors to ensure compliance with risk management and other company requirements.
The successful candidate will ideally have the follow
Excellent track record on workplace health and safety
Supervision experience within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent relationship forming skills with the ability to successfully work with a number of people across multiple departments.
Solid analytical & literacy skills with the ability to clearly outline opportunities, justifications & proposals
A pro-active can-do attitude with an ability to deliver results
Prior experience in the lime, or similar, industry is advantageous
