Auckland South, Central, West and NorthPermanent, full-time positions availableWhat is the role about?As a Support Worker you will be supporting a person with a spinal cord injury to participate in meaningful activities in the community, support with daily personal cares and household tasks to enable to achieve maximum independence in the home and community.
Some of the tasks may include the following : Assess client needs and implementing the support planManage challenging behavioursProvide information to health care professionals as neededHigh level of complex cares -
hoist transfers, continence managementMedication administration / promptingUndertake delegated nursing tasksCoaching and mentoring new staff as neededWe are looking for people with the following skills : Must be able to work rostered shifts : Mornings, afternoons and evenings including weekendsHas completed NZQA Level 3 or above Health and Wellbeing or equivalentEmpathy for others, and the genuine desire to help peopleReliable, professional and trustworthy with the ability to work independentlyStrong communication skills and English speakingAbility to adapt to various situations while still providing excellent supportPrevious experience in supporting people with a spinal cord injuries and experience with TBI clients (required)Full driver's licence and reliable transportWorking for usAs a company we are committed to our employees.
