Sitting within our PMO and reporting to the Programme Manager, you'll be delivering projects for the Capital Projects and Asset Development business in the South Island.
The projects range from rail infrastructure and ancillary disciplines (above and below rail) to civil and construction, property, marine and change management programmes.
Keeping close control of time and money while also actively looking for innovation and improvement opportunities, your core responsibilities will include creating high quality project plans, procurement of design and construction resources and undertaking comprehensive and timely reporting to support KiwiRail's management and governance structures.
As part of the project delivery team, you will work proactively across multiple business units and with multiple stakeholders to get alignment in order to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsible for the project lifecycle, you will scope, organise and monitor progress, seeing them through to their successful completion.
The opportunity to make this role your own with a newly created role with a business that is investing in growth.
For more than 150 years, KiwiRail has played a critical role in the country's transport network, helping to drive New Zealand's economic growth and showcasing our country to the world.
We're undergoing a multi-year, future-focused transformation project and we need a first-rate Project Manager to join our PMO within Capital Projects and Asset Development to keep us on track.
If this sounds like you, apply now and start your journey with KiwiRail today. We regret that due to border closures, we are unable to accept applications from international candidates at this time.
