  • Our Facilities Maintenance Business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Construction team.

    The successful candidate will preferably be based in the North Shore.


    This role will be working closely with the Project Team to provide support on Minor capital works projects under the Full Facilities contract, ensuring estimates and quotations are accurate and on time.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Minimise Ventia’s exposure and risk across projects through risk mitigation and scope management processes and practices.
  • Prepare estimates, formal quote and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
  • Obtain relevant financial sign-off of work before submission.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
  • Provides project delivery team with feedback, encouragement and advice
  • Troubleshoot problems that come up during projects
  • Assist in the development of individual project plans complete with budgetary information and resource needs
  • Continually seeks and capitalises upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen the relationship with the client.
  • Measure and evaluate works to ensure that they comply with the contractual entitlement.
  • Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements throughout the business

    You will possess tertiary qualifications ideally in a construction / engineering related degree and will come from a Quantity Surveying background.

  • Prepared to be flexible
  • Your superior communication is absolutely critical for your success in this position along with the ability to build rapport and strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is extremely important.

    Strong commercial skills, coupled with an analytical approach and solid understanding of head contracts are also required, along with the ability to negotiate effectively.

    The successful candidate should be motivated, and willing to work hard to ensure their own personal growth and the development of the team.
