Our exciting role
We currently have exciting opportunities for Façade Engineers to join our team in Auckland. In these roles you would work collaboratively within a multidiscipline environment, to provide expert advice and assist the delivery of high-quality technical reports.
You would work with a highly motivated team who are passionate about what they do, and where they can make a difference.
On a day-to-day basis you will be :
Supporting the Façade Manager re input into project bids / tenders
Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and to prescribed quality
Maintain regular contact with clients and consenting authorities
Liaise with the Client or other project disciplines concerning any issues relating
to the facade scope
Work with the Architect to develop concept details of a facade system to suit
the required aesthetic, building type, building use and local climate and generate details for tender of the façade package
Develop preliminary engineering design and checks of facades and steel
structures / architectural features
Quality engineering design ability, and strong knowledge of technical
specifications;
In depth knowledge of building envelope materials, such as glass, aluminium, waterproofing membrane, sealants, brick veneer, stone cladding etc.
Process planning and quality control ensure systems and processes are efficient and reflect company quality and high-level service;
Site inspections of façade installation where required
Generate concise, clear, accurate technical written reports and provide engineering support for peer reviews
What you’ll need
Bachelor of Engineering
Excellent communication skills; written and spoken;
Attention to detail and ability to problem solve;
In depth understanding of the glass and façade industry;
Ability to work independently and in a team;
Self-motivated and reliable;
Endeavour to continue to personally develop
Minimum of 5 Years of relevant engineering experience locally or internationally.
