    We have 2 full time roles available working on a project for 18 - 24 months starting in late October 2021. The objectives of this project are to remediate current and terminated employees for Holidays Act non-compliances and rectify HR and payroll systems, policies and processes, to ensure the Auckland Metro DHB’s payrolls are compliant with the Holidays Act 2003.

    In this role, you will support the Remediation Manager in analysing payroll data to identify data anomalies and respond to data queries.

    You will use your payroll expertise to carry out testing to ensure system compliance. You will validate outputs and test compliant pay models from the remediation vendor.

    As part of the role, you may also be working with the Rectification team as and when required

    You will be based inPenrose and work alongside a group of seasoned HR and Payroll professionalsessentially solving a gigantic puzzle.

    Your work will impact decisions on how we manage, roster and recompense our wider DHB team of nearly 30,000. It is complex work and the outputs of this project will make a difference far wider than the team currently employed by the Auckland Metro DHBs because, when you’re looking after the salaries of so many people, making sure it all happens correctly is imperative as it impacts thousands of families in the community.

    About you

    As the ideal person for this role, you will have : -

  • 2 or more years’ experience in health sector payroll
  • Experience in working with complex MECAs and IEAs
  • Knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and the Holidays Act 2003
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data
  • Experience of working on the Leader payroll system would be a distinct advantage
