Job Description : Summary


Develop business with new and existing accounts for CEOLUS products primarily in nutraceutical industry with reference to excipients and other nutraceutical ingredients.

Work is performed under the general supervision of Business Development Manager, but the incumbent must exercise considerable initiative, ingenuity, creativity, dependability, and independent judgment.

Accomplishments are evaluated through meetings / conferences, written reports and results achieved.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Focus on the identification of new and existing customer sales opportunities through direct customer contacts that lead to increased sales, margin, and loyalty with regards to CEOLUS products line in both domestic and international market.
  • Assess and anticipates on customer needs, focusing on service and satisfaction. Seek for leads and opportunities for the value they bring to AK CEOLUS.
  • Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all accounts with account profiles on designated key accounts.
  • Keep Business Development Manager informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly and / or monthly work plans and reports, and by updating CRM system such as Salesforce.
  • Quote prices, credit terms, prepare sales contracts for orders and submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Decision Making

    Translate customer needs to the organization and secures understanding of and, delivery on, customer needs, and identifies and acts on market opportunities.

    Leadership Provided

  • Troubleshoot customer / sales order issues.
  • Solve customer technical issues by solutions that CEOLUS can offer.
  • Represent Asahi Kasei America in various conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to attract new business opportunities.
  • Education and Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of sales experience in a B2B environment within Nutraceutical or Pharmaceutical Industry or related field.
  • 5+ years are preferred.

  • Additionally, demonstrated experience in Nutritional and / or Pharmaceutical formulations lab application and coating experience, a plus.
  • Bachelor’s in pharmacy (preferred), Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry / Biology (also considered).
  • Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • PC skills, including experience using MS Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote
  • Experience with ERP systems, sales reporting systems Salesforce , NAVISION or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Aware of interpersonal and cultural differences, recognizes and adjusts to needs and styles.
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal facilitation; account development, negotiation and communication skills written and verbal forms .
  • Essential Capabilities and Work Environment

  • Expected to travel heavily (up to 50% of the year) to meet sales objectives, yet retain a strong working relationship with the operating functions.
  • TRAVEL : up to 50% of work (US+Canada : 90%. International : up to 10%)
