About the role...

We're looking for an accomplished and experienced Financial Controller / senior Accountant to join our growing group.

The successful candidate will be a qualified financial manager who's comfortable being responsible for ensuring our financial policies, procedures and practices comply with accounting standards and tax regulation in New Zealand and Australia , as well as statutory and government requirements , including GST, sales tax etc.

This is a hands on role - working alongside with the properties managers or hotel GM - with a range of responsibilities including :

  • Monthly and annual Financial Reporting
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Cash Flow Projections
  • Statutory Lodgments
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Working on budget and actuals, analyzing and reporting the deviations
  • Sales Tax, GST Reporting and annual tax returns
  • Group Consolidation
  • Standardizing the costs
  • Special Projects
  • Reporting to stakeholders and preparing the periodical reports
  • About you...

    We are looking for a highly intelligent, self-motivated, hardworking, high achieving financial controller / senior accountant, with a proven track record.

    We're looking for someone who can multi-task, wear multiple hats and work fast. This is a role for someone who wants to make their mark and be an effective member of our growing international team.

    The successful candidate will have several years experience, a proven track record and a broad skill set, including :

  • Multi-national and multi-entity accounting experience
  • Liaising with external advisory
  • Advanced Excel abilities
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Well developed time management skills
  • Strong systems awareness and an interest in improving systems
  • Ability to think fast, work fast and prioritise effectively
