A recent realignment of our Wealth function has led to the formation of a new Product Management team that will focus on the maintenance and development of our Managed Investment Scheme product suite (which includes ASB's KiwiSaver, Investment Funds and Superannuation Master Trust products).
The purpose of this team of Product Managers is to ensure that products meet segment and distribution requirements, comply with all relevant law and regulations and remain on market to drive shareholder and customer value.
Principal responsibilities of the Senior Product Manager (MIS) include :
Product Compliance : Ensure all MIS disclosure documents (and governing documents) are at all times accurate, up to date and compliant with relevant law and regulations.
Any changes to disclosure documents are actioned in accordance with the MIS due diligence plan and you are expected to attend and present to the due diligence committee as required.
Product Development : Actively participate in product development initiatives to ensure that the proposed product will be operationally feasible, profitable and compliant.
Product Knowledge Management : Maintain detailed knowledge of ASB's MIS product suite including in-depth analysis, insights and records about MIS products, their history and all changes.
Customer Value Proposition : In conjunction with the Wealth Experience team, develop concise, supportable statements of MIS product value in the eyes of the target market, combining customer intelligence, competitive insight and product evaluation.
Project Management : Lead or manage small / medium compliance driven projects from concept to poste implementation.
Mentoring : As a Senior Product Manager you are expected to provide leadership and mentoring to other Product Managers.
Strategy : Provide input into developing the strategy for the Asset Management unit to meet short, medium and long term goals and align with ASB's wider organisational strategy.
What we are looking for :
Wealth / Investments / Financial Services background with a minimum of 5 years product management experience and 10 years in a corporate or professional services environment.
Significant Wealth product knowledge and understanding of the legislative environment (such as the Financial Markets Conduct Act).
A natural ability to build effective relationships across functional lines at all levels with strong influencing skills.
Strategic problem solving skills.
Product development or project management skills.
Significant analytical experience with qualitative, quantitative and financial data.
