    Our new TI&P organisational design will help us create collaborative teams that are multi-capable, self-managing and customer-

    centric, driven by a common purpose and empowered with aligned autonomy. We're looking to create an environment where our people can grow agile mind-

    set thinking and behaviours, learn and evolve and utilise their skills whilst being empowered to make decisions which will provide the best value to our customers.

    Out of this transformation journey, a new set of roles have been introduced to the Technology, Innovation & Payments Division (TI&P).

    As a Specialist Coach - Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), you will be the expert for driving high performance in the SRE space, developing this capability within TI&P, coaching engineers, defining standards and working closely with the Chapter Leads to ensure the goals are met.

    Responsibilities will include :

  • Actively building strong networks so you have continual growth across your portfolio
  • Help create learning opportunities to support this capability and developing standards for this domain
  • Coaching and supporting individuals and teams to grow Site Reliability Engineering knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Actively working with High Performance Coaches to build the capability within the Site Reliability Engineering field
  • Establishing appropriate measures and tracking overall Site Reliability Engineering
  • Assist teams to design, write and deliver software to improve availability, scalability and efficiency of ASB's services
  • Assist with the creation of new designs, architectures, standards and methods for scalable distributed systems
  • To be successful in this role, you will need the following capabilities :

  • Have extensive background in developing and operating large-scale distributed applications and microservices
  • Be able to design infrastructure and software solutions for operational excellence and be able to prioritise existing technical / infrastructure debt
  • Have experience in maintaining high capacity 24 / 7 systems and have experience with 12 factor application design
  • Have experience with containers and container orchestration (e.g. Docker or Kubernetes)
  • Have proven expertise working with others to drive alignment between architecture and engineering
  • Have strong experience with DevOps and be well-versed in standard methodologies and patterns for logging, monitoring, tracing and up-time
