Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Advisor Social Outcomes to join our Advisory team based in Wellington. You will be responsible for :

  • Leadership :
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team and contribute to the wider leadership in the practice area of social outcomes
  • Support team through coaching and mentoring in the social outcomes practice area
  • Monitor and measure performance of key contracts in the delivery of project outcomes and deliverables
  • Lead initiatives to develop organisational knowledge and maturity with regard to advisory, social outcomes, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement advice.
  • Develop and grow the social outcomes practice and market segment of the New Zealand business and effectively support all sectors to ensure best practice and client requirements are met.
  • Support senior leaders in the business through coaching and mentoring to understand delivering social outcomes.
  • Social Outcomes :
  • Contribute to the strategic approach and forward planning for work programmes and projects through social outcomes.
  • Provide leadership in achieving social outcomes to mitigate risk to the delivery of infrastructure programmes and projects within our various sectors.
  • Manages and supports complex and sensitive projects undertaken by Mott MacDonald with a social outcome’s lens
  • Relationship, Client and Stakeholder Management :
  • Build relationships with internal Project and Programme Directors and Managers to ensure sustainability and social outcome are contributing in a strategic way to infrastructure programmes / projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Central and Local Government agencies.
  • Responsible for recommending improvements and modifications to these reports and implementing any changes.
  • Advises the Advisory Sector Leader NZ on all social outcomes related matters
  • Financial :
  • Manage budgets in accordance with organisational policies and practices.
  • Manage budgets, service charge-out and client relationships
  • Provide business reporting, including financial information, as required

  • Experience leading medium to large scale projects, providing quality technical advisory and judgement. Being able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in business development and stakeholder management.
