You will be working on a range of interesting buildings projects that will see you design and manage the following systems :

  • Data Networks & Wireless LAN
  • Data Centres, Cloud and Virtualization Technologies
  • Electronic Security / Surveillance Technologies CCTV, Access Control, Analytics, PSIM
  • Information and Cyber Security
  • Control system solutions - SCADA
  • Telecoms Distribution - Structured Cabling Systems
  • Audio-Visual and Public-Address Systems
  • Digital Signage and Way Finding Systems
  • In this varied role, your day to day activities will include : - Working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects

  • Undertaking surveys and completing reports
  • Production of Project deliverables specifications, reports, solution briefs and schematics from Feasibility and Concept Design through to Construction Administration and Post Completion handover.
  • Production of design drawings using mark-up tools
  • Production of design and performance specifications
  • Use of MS Visio, PowerPoint, BIM 360, Adobe and other equivalent mark-up tools for drawing production
  • Completing design calculations using computational and network design software for LAN, WAN, WLAN, Unified Communications and Security Systems
  • Liaising with clients and end users to establish project requirements
  • Monitoring installations on site
  • Candidate Specification

    You will be a qualified Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineer or equivalent who is experienced in the design and specification of Information technology systems and services within buildings.

    This role ideally suits someone with 4 8 years’ experience and looking to join a growing team that hold technical excellence to high regard and offer an excellent opportunity for career progression.

    In additional to the above you will ideally have :

  • A degree level qualification.
  • Membership or in process of membership with Engineers New Zealand or equivalent.
  • An Enthusiastic and ambitious attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing
