Whether you’re just starting out in your career and craving some action, or have more experience under your belt, these roles offer the dynamic work fit you’re looking for.
With both hospitals servicing a broad catchment area of the South Island, you’ll have great exposure to a large amount of trauma cases, plus the ability to rotate across a wide variety of specialities within the hospital.
You’ll enjoy the latest, state of the art equipment and find plenty of opportunity to grow your skills these are teaching hospitals, so you can benefit from the wisdom of senior AT’s or impart your own knowledge to help mentor the younger team.
The day to day
As an experienced AT, you know the drill. Working alongside our Anaesthetists, as well as Doctors and Nurses, you’ll assist with surgeries, and the odd bit of Operating Theatre set up.
You may even help administer blood pressure and other medications on occasion too. Working on a rotating roster basis, you’ll find shifts are usually around 8-10 hours, so along with a stable full-time work structure you’ll have plenty of room to get out and do life.
