    About the Role

    An opportunity is now available for an Open Source Developer to join our Development Team. The preferred candidate will have 2+ Years of Experience using modern frameworks such as SilverStripe, Laravel, Vue.

    js and React. This role reports to the IT Manager.

    Some key areas of responsibilities include :

    Under supervision of the IT Manager and Lead Developer, plan, develop, test, and maintain web based applications for internal and external projects

    Assist with the development and maintenance of applications

    To be successful in this role you will have :

    Knowledge and industry experience in Laravel, Silverstripe, HTML, Javascript and CSS

    Proficient in use of Git

    Sound understanding of development methodologies and performance best-practices

    A passion for web application development, and a willingness to learn other platforms if required

    Awareness and knowledge of web accessibility / usability issues

    Tertiary qualification in Information Systems or Computer Science

    Proactive with clear ability to work on own initiative and as part of project teams

    Commitment to high level of professionalism and ongoing personal development

    A knowledge of web applications in an educational context, e.g. e-Learning platforms, an advantage but not essential

    Good problem solving skills and attention to detail
