As Stamford Plaza Auckland is operating as a Managed Isolation Facility (MIF) to help return kiwis home, to apply for this role all applicants must have or be willing to receive the COVID19 Vaccination upon commencing employment.

Successful candidates must also be willing to undertake mandatory COVID-19 swab every 14 days.

About Role...

We are seeking for an experience Senior Chef de Partie to join our Food & Beverage Team. In this role you will run your own section banquets Kitchen, ensuring service is smooth.

You will run your own section daily maintaining prep levels as well as cooking and preparing food.

  • You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the employees in the kitchen
  • Overseeing the food preparation while ensuring superior quality and consistency and approving the store requisitions for food and supplies.
  • You will develop new menus (prepare, test, and taste new items), maintain updated and accurate recipes and costing of dishes, and consider customer feedback.
  • Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will train and coach junior employees, and help maintain a safe workspace.

    To be successful in this role, you will need :

  • Qualified culinary degree / certificate with 2 to 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while focused on the end goal.
  • An eye for detail and the ability remain calm and solve problems under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Creativity and desire to please the customer.
