Some More Information About The Role

Supporting the Commercial Manager this is a newly created role to ensure Financial Accounting activities are running to a smooth routine, the integrity of the general ledger is maintained to an excellent standard, and more excitingly, problem-

solving and implementation of new initiatives. There is a massive opportunity here to streamline processes so this role is for someone who is extremely systems savvy and passionate about making life easier for the entire financial and operational function of the business.

Initially, you will need to be very hands-on with transactional processes to build your understanding of how the business operates before you start to drive the function forward.

Accountabilities include the following and more :

  • Manage online banking processes, payments, and inter-account movements
  • Ensuring all stock movements are correctly recorded
  • Responsible for ledger control and accuracy
  • Understand and control the Accounts Payable function to ensure Financial KPI's are met by the team
  • Reconciliation of key Balance Sheet accounts
  • Liaise with the outsource partner around monthly queries prior to P&L close
  • Assist with annual accounts, Tax, and statutory tasks
  • Be involved with team member performance management discussions
  • Uphold company ethics and support the integrity of the group
  • So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile

    You have a solid understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivables, ideally in a high volume, complex environment. The business carries large amounts of stock, so your ability to manage this and the cash flow will be key -

    coming from an FMCG environment will be beneficial. Experience with big ERP systems will really help you get your hands on the information required for this role, alongside an ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures.

    You are extremely tech-savvy, have experience with or a keen interest in Business Intelligence tools, and a desire to improve and streamline processes wherever possible.

    You will most likely be on your pathway to becoming qualified and are motivated to grow and learn under an experienced and supportive mentor.
