    The Operational Policy team develop operational policy to help ACC achieve its organisational and legislative objectives.

    In this role as a Senior Operational Policy Advisor you are responsible for providing advice to key stakeholders across ACC to influence the quality and consistency of frontline decision making.

    You will have plenty of variety in the work you do, you will be implementing changes, leading pieces of work, and making improvements to ensure our knowledge base is up to date.

    You'll work collaboratively across the organisation to create operational policy that supports our frontline staff.

    In this role you will also support the capability of the team by providing development and coaching support.

    What you need to be successful in this role :

  • Relevant experience in a similar role with proven performance and results
  • Significant experience in a specialist or policy related function, preferably in a large complex environment
  • Coaching and capability development skills
  • Ability to vary working and leadership styles to meet the needs of different situations and individuals
  • Experience applying policy analysis skills to identify the root cause of problems, develop policy objectives, options and assessment criteria
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Easily able to turn analysis into advice and an ability to confidently answer questions from decision-makers
  • Embrace a continuous improvement mindset to identify and seize opportunities to improve processes, policies, and customer outcomes
  • Key to this role will be your ability to partner and collaborate with customers and stakeholders from across the business to develop and implement operational policy
