  • Hands-on role embracing all aspects of HSE and Process Engineering as they relate to the effective operation of the site.

    This inclusive team-based organisation provides autonomy, breadth and variety, providing the opportunity to showcase your abilities as an HSE / Process Engineering professional.

    This company is a market leader in their industry. They provide specialty chemical products worldwide. This manufacturing site is one of their key plants in the NZ / Pacific region.

    Report to the Site Operations Manager on all matters Process Engineering, Process Risk, Safety, Environmental and Compliance with National legislation.

    Undertake process safety investigations; assist with process problems and help improve process plant performance, lead Management of Change, manage the Site Risk Register and with relevant stakeholders ensure all HSE documentation is valid and compliant.

    With your peers, continuously reduce the following with the ambition of driving them to zero :

  • Lost Time Injury frequency rate
  • Non-compliances resulting from Safety, Environmental, Statutory Audits, both internal & external
  • Loss of containment
  • Neighbour Complaints
  • Outstanding Investigations
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, statutory authorities and contractors. There are no direct reports to this role.

    Make things happen with your initiative and in response to business objectives, keeping all stakeholders informed.

    You are degree qualified in Chemical Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing company that has robust Safety Management Systems.

    Experience in the Chemical or Oil and Gas industries is preferred. You have participated in continuous improvement processes and have conducted root cause analyses.

    You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with people at all levels.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    You are degree qualified in Chemical Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing company that has robust Safety Management Systems.

    Education :

    University - Bachelor's Degree / 3-4 Year Degree
