Digital Content Advisor Video Temporary Do you love telling stories using video as your medium Do you want to inspire and inform people about DOCs work our native wildlife and unique environment We are looking for an experienced video content creator to join the Digital Team for a full time 12month fixed term covering parental leave You will lead the production of video content for our web social and other digital channels Youll be surrounded by passionate people who will challenge motivate and encourage you to achieve your best work Reporting to the Digital Manager you will film and edit video content for DOCs digital channels working in a variety of roles from preproduction through to postproduction liaise with and advise external production companies when outsourcing video production provide video guidance advice and support to DOC staff to help build their own video skills and capability develop and maintain tools and resources for staff to ensure all video content is of a high standard meets DOCs brand guidelines digital best practises and accessibility standards maintain video content stored on DOCs Digital Media Management system work in a team focussed on delivering strong external communications and excellent customer service You will bring to the team at least 3 years experience in a similar content creation role demonstrating knowledge across all stages of video production a history of success in creating video content for digital channels experience using a range of audio and video equipment experience using Adobe Creative Suite must be proficient in video editing Adobe Premiere preferred knowledge of digital video best practices and accessibility standards strong storytelling skills innovation and creative thinking ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people ability to mentor provide support and share expertise ability to work under pressure current full driving license The successful candidate will be a capable multitasker able to work quickly manage conflicting priorities and get work done to a high standard You will need to be confident working independently as youll often be working solo on a video production You will also need to be confident working across a variety of roles from preproduction through to postproduction Some travel will be required Please apply online via the DOC Careers Centre Applications must include a cover letter CV and evidence of the required capabilities as per the role description For any queries please contact Laura Honey lhoney doc govt nz phone 027 200 9785 or Ligs Hoffman phone 027 200 9829 quoting vacancy 600 2270 Applications close at 5pm on Monday 10 February 2020 DOC is committed to a diverse workforce that represents the communities we serve and to creating an inclusive workplace culture
