What we’re looking for

Our Central Quarries team is recruiting for an experienced individual to take the next step in their career and join our growing team as Development Manager.

This permanent full time position would be ideal for an individual with a quarrying or contracting background who enjoys being part of a growing business and is confident with commercial management.

This role represents a Senior Management position with the Quarries team in Central Otago with the potential for significant scope of growth for the right candidate.

What you’ll be doing

As the Development Manager for the Quarries business you will work closely with the Quarries Divisional and Department Manager to help grow the division sustainably.

This will primarily include managing internal projects, such as installing new manufacturing plants, helping to develop and implement new operating and quality systems, building business cases for new capital purchases and upgrading existing facilities.

You will also assist the Department Manager and quarry managers in commercial management, budget setting and cost control.

You will also be tasked with the new scope of implementing the Quarries Division sustainability strategy and ensuring we have an enduring business model in this space.

Ultimately, you will be driven to ensure that our business is fit for purpose to allow our operations to grow. Although the role currently does not have direct reports, there is the opportunity to tailor the position to the suitable candidate.
