Kāpura (previously known as the Wellington Hospitality Group) are looking for Duty Managers to fill vacancies across our many venues, stretching from Miramar to Lower Hutt!

We are looking for a full-time Duty Managers who lives and breathes amazing hospitality, someone who views the hospitality industry as a potential long term career! From harbourside venues that pump at brunch to venues that are a go-to for after work hangouts.

We have some of the busiest venues in Wellington's city centre - you will need to be ready for a challenge, are you ready?

Kāpura owns and operates over 30 bars and restaurants around the Wellington CBD, surrounding suburbs and most recently has expanded into Hamilton and Tauranga.

As a Duty Manager your role is to run the establishment on a shift by shift basis, reporting directly into your Venue Manager.

Your primary role is to be a fantastic host to our customers and the local community.

Key requirements for the role include :

  • A current LCQ / managers licence
  • A minimum of 1 years hospitality experience in a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety
  • Ideally knowledge of wage costs and targets
  • Strong food & beverage knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience managing teams
  • Leadership skills
