  • Our Pharmacy Department at Dunedin Hospital is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive team on a full time, permanent basis.

    The Pharmacy service provides a full clinical and operational service to Dunedin Hospital. We provide a wide range of clinical services encompassing both generalist and specialist skills so there is no better place to move your career forward.

    About the Role

    The role will include stock control, ward supply, in and out patient dispensing, non-sterile compounding, and assisting in the general day to day running of the dispensary.

    This role will be Monday to Friday (as well as a rostered Saturday morning 9-12).

    About You

    Hospital experience is preferred although not essential, and you will possess strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.

    Naturally, you will be an excellent communicator, and a trusted and positive team player. It is also essential you can pick things up quickly, perform in an accurate and precise manner and work well within a diverse and ever-changing environment.

    To succeed in this role, you will need to have :

  • Appropriate New Zealand recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification (or working towards)
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • High levels of personal and professional integrity
