Auckland City, AucklandFull-time, PermanentOur client is looking to employ a permanent Senior Storeman for their warehouse in Takanini.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the key areas of accountability are : Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval of all goods in the warehouseEnsure warehouse(s) reach maximum efficiencies and potential and stock control systems are up to dateEnsure the security level of the warehouse is at the maximumProcess orders within determined timeframes with no picking / packing errorsHighlight issues immediately to Team Leader to ensure ongoing efficiencies are sort and obtainedBe innovative in ensuring best practice warehousing and provide support on projects relating to the WarehouseLiaise with customer services regarding any issuesActively be involved in warehouse projects for future growthInwards GoodsReceipting of all warehouse goods / high light any issues of incorrect receipt.

Monitor stock levels for re-order purposesEnsure all put away is done in timely mannerData entryStocktakesStock levels are consistent, and monthly cycle counts are undertaken to ensure accurate recordsFull stock take is undertaken at year endVariances reported, investigated and understood and kept to a minimumHealth + SafetyEnsure Warehouse staff work in a safe environment by supporting the Health and Safety policyHelp identify all hazards associated with the Warehouse departmentAll staff, suppliers and visitors to despatch / warehouse understand and comply with its Health and Safety policies and proceduresAnd any other duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

Competencies, Skills and Experience required for the job : Experience 3 to 5 years plus Warehousing experienceGood knowledge of ERP systemsMinimum of 3 yrs in supervisory assistant rolesForkhoist licence -

Reach truck licenceExcellent communication skills verbal and writtenStrong planning, organising and people management skillsExcellent customer relations skillsComputer skills minimum intermediate excel skillsHours : Monday -
