The Parkland Villas Woodlands, Harbourside Village Mindarie and Timberside Villas Woodvale are currently searching for an enthusiastic Maintenance Supervisor to join the team.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for delivering general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings, facilities and associated structures in accordance with the Village Maintenance Plan.
This role may be combined with other responsibilities as required (e.g., Bus Driver). The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for making decisions in relation to the execution of the maintenance activity within the village in accordance with existing frameworks and budget ensuring all work is carried out following the correct procedures.
Key performance areas and accountabilities : Ensure maintenance and repairs of common property including grounds, facilities and gardens as required (including but not limited to cleaning, painting, lighting maintenance, TV installations, hanging paintings, clearing gutters, disposal of rubbish, checking and maintaining air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing, pool maintenance, furniture removal, and general repairs) Ensure planned maintenance of Village assets is executed in accordance with the Maintenance Plan and legislative requirements Undertake reactive maintenance on Village assets and Resident assets as requested, Support residents with maintenance in their unit in line with Lendlease procedures Ensure that all maintenance activity is conducted to Lendlease and Resident Committee standards Ensure all maintenance activity complies with relevant legislation and trade qualifications Use Lendlease preferred suppliers where relevant and ensure all works are conducted within budget and procedure The successful candidate will ideally : Current Apply First Aid (HLFTA311A - National Standard) Automated External Defibrillation (HLTCPR2018) (AED) Current and valid Australian (or New Zealand where relevant) Police Check Trade Certificate or Certificates (desirable for a Maintenance Officer) Appropriate Australian / NZ Drivers Licence for Village Vehicles, Plant & Equipment Demonstrated competence as a tradesperson and experience in a similar role Broad understanding of the legislation, regulations and requirements, and issues affecting Retirement Villages Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks Highly motivated and able to take initiative Computer literate Please note : The successful applicant must complete a Police Check, will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October as well as provide proof of the COVID-19 Vaccination with supporting documentation prior to joining.
For selected roles more physical in nature, pre-employment medical assessments may also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
