Fortune Favours is on the hunt for an experienced Duty Manager!

We are looking for a full-time Duty Manager who has a passion for craft beer and creating memorable customer experiences.

Having opened on Leeds Street in central Wellington, Fortune Favours is smashing all our expectations and getting busier and busier every week.

The team love to have fun and get their customers involved! With a micro-brewery on site, by applying for this role you will be able to learn about the process of making delicious beer and push a brand that is up and coming in Wellington, but we hope globally! You’ll get to be part of an awesome brand which just smashed it at multiple beer awards in NZ & abroad.

The Wellington Hospitality Group (WHG) owns and operates Fortune Favours as well as over 30 bars and restaurants around the Wellington CBD, surrounding suburbs and most recently has expanded into Hamilton and Tauranga.

We’re ideally seeking a hospitality superstar who lives and breathes amazing hospitality, someone who views the hospitality industry as a potential long term career!

As a Duty Manager your role is to run the establishment on a shift by shift basis, reporting directly in to your Bar Operations manager.

Your primary role is to be a fantastic host to our customers and the local community.

Key requirements for the role include :

  • A current LCQ / managers license
  • A minimum 1 years hospitality experience in a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant
  • Strong food & beverage knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience managing teams
  • Leadership skills
