    We are currently recruiting Managers with expertise in : -Organisational and functional strategy design and transformation-Operating model development and implementation-Business casing and Better Business Case-Priority sectors, including the Māori sector, social impact, health, climate and sustainability and housing What will your typical day look like?

    As a Manager in our Strategy & Business Design team you will play an active role in creating and shaping business transformation, working directly with client executives across a wide range of industries.

    You will be front and centre in client engagements, developing relationships with senior client stakeholders. You will be encouraged to bring an understanding of the client’s ecosystem, global expertise, new perspectives and diverse thinking to the problems we solve.

    Every day you will lead multi-skilled team of advisors, working collaboratively and managing project work streams. You will play the most important role we have at Deloitte : as a coach to our people, providing the development and support our high-performing people need through challenging and meaningful opportunities.

    As a Manager we expect you to

  • Work closely with our clients as a trusted advisor enabling them to make the choices and commitments to execute their business strategy
  • Use proven strategy, transformation and business design methodologies to objectively identify, evaluate, and align on a direction that best creates and captures value for our clients’ organisations
  • Lead and challenge qualitative and quantitative analysis, driving to real insight that enables decisions
  • Successfully advise and influence senior client stakeholders, including CEOs and directors
  • Shape and lead project workstreams, directing the work of more junior Consultants
  • Build out and maintain expertise in priority industries, sectors and Consulting offerings.
  • You are someone with

  • 6+ years demonstrated experience leading projects, workstreams and teams on engagements in the public or private sector.
  • The analytical thinking and problem solving chops to apply to some of our clients and Aotearoa New Zealand’s most complex issues
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to collect data, transform into useful information to better understand and analyse problems.
  • Ability to communicate, present and contextualise complex ideas concisely and accurately while adjusting style and tone to suit your audience.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to connect with both clients and your team to share information and ideas and together deliver project outcomes.
  • A drive for exceptional service and performance, and the ability to plan and execute a project
  • A passion for developing people through timely feedback, aligning their strengths to tasks and providing stretch and support
  • A desire to seek out opportunities to continually learn and bring a positive outlook to new challenges.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi to New Zealand, the Government or the Crown, as well as tikanga Māori and Te Ao Māori approaches to client issues
