year Asset Management Plan.

As part of our collaborative Grid Development Division, the Maintenance Portfolio Lead is a people centric analytical role which reports to the Asset Management Plan Manager and sits within a team responsible for producing the industry cost base forecast which underpins Service Delivery and Asset Management activity and financial forecasts.

You will provide critical maintenance input data to the Asset Management Plan and work with Portfolio Owners to develop, approve and communicate maintenance plans.

You will oversee the Transpower Maintenance Planning Framework, maintenance budget, and works prioritisation processes across Transpower's 15-

year Asset Management Plan. You will collaborate and work closely with the Strategic and Tactical Asset Management teams, Grid Works Planning teams, Service Delivery, and Finance teams to provide cost forecasts which are informed, timely and accurate.

This is a great opportunity to drive continuous development and improvement of the forecasting process, while developing and utilising available tools to deliver robust analysis in an effective and efficient manner.

You will communicate the impact of changes in the short term and long-term forecasts to our Senior Management team to ensure decision-

making changes and planning change impacts are fully understood.

We are looking for someone who is self-aware and authentic as you will be the pivot point or "go to" for maintenance activities.

To excel in this new role you will need curiosity, a sense of humour, tact and the ability to work with a wide range of personalities and professions.

Your cover letter, CV and previous experience will clearly demonstrate :

  • Well-developed ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and manage expectations.
  • Excellent ability to communicate, influence and engage with all levels of the organisation and navigate ambiguity.
  • Detail orientation and capability to work with disparate information to ensure that data and information is accurate, complete and consistent.
  • You will also demonstrate the ability to collate information and present data effectively.

  • Experience in the use of databases, project management, programme management, and financial management systems.
  • An understanding of portfolio management and its application.
  • Commercial acumen to drive efficiency whilst retaining the appropriate business risk profile.
  • Some knowledge / understanding of engineering projects and their life cycles.
  • Highly developed Excel and modelling skills.
  • Not essential but highly regarded will be :

  • Asset management / energy industry experience.
  • Experience in business planning.
  • Experience in leading a team, or team members and / or oversight of a team, process, or change initiatives.
  • Understanding of Management Accounting concepts.
