The Role

The Laboratory and Aquatic Systems Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager and assist laboratory users to set up and maintain aquatic systems (e.

g. tanks, hoses, pumps, skimmers, lights, and loggers) for experimental and teaching purposes.

The position offers a stimulating environment that would suit someone experienced or interested in any aspect of Marine Science and / or the servicing and maintenance of scientific equipment.

Some locally based fieldwork may be offered.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification (or working towards) in a science.
  • Experience in the area of aquaculture or a related field would be an advantage.
  • Alternatively, or additionally, have qualifications and / or experience in the servicing and repair of scientific and field equipment.
  • Alternatively, or additionally, have some basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
