Job Description

We are developing our new Mechanical & Electrical division within the business. We are looking for expressions of interest for Project Engineers and Project Managers with a proven track record of outstanding performance in the Mechanical and Electrical disciplines working within the heavy civil space.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you’ll run a diverse range of projects ensuring the safe completion of work in a timely manner, within budget and to the highest quality.

You will project manage, plan and coordinate mechanical &electrical packages of work whilst working alongside our civil project teams.

This position will require regular travel to various sites.

You will be the public face of Fulton Hogan and act as our company representative and should therefore have the ability to adapt your communication style accordingly.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop project-specific management plans, methodologies and programmes to ensure a successful project outcome..
  • Actively manage the submittal and approval phases for the full project framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations agreed at the project remit while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve constructability.
  • Maintain Stakeholder relationships and find innovative ways to add value and exceed expectations
  • Manage and supervise multi-disciplinary site-based delivery teams for projects,
  • Maintain regular and accurate reporting for your projects that will capture project-specific metrics as agreed with management
  • Provide technical support to the team ensuring successful delivery on all projects in terms of quality, safety, time and cost objectives
  • Encourage continuous development of your team through supervision and education
  • Positively promote and incorporate Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies on all aspects of work.
  • About you

  • Tertiary qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with 3+ years' experience in working within Water / Industrial projects or other relevant industries.
  • Mechanical / Electrical engineering design experience preferable.
  • Have an innovative approach with the ability to mediate to resolve issues swiftly.
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to different stakeholders / management level
