About usEducation Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments.

EIS manages the Crown's second largest property portfolio of around 2,500 schools with a book value of $17.8 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

Capital Works manages the planning and delivery of major redevelopments, new builds and infrastructure upgrades for New Zealand schools as part of the Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), one of the largest property portfolios in New Zealand.

Our vision is to be a world leader in providing learning environments that advance educational achievement.About the roleThe Senior Delivery Managers, reporting to a Programme Manager, lead a team of up to six Delivery Managers who will deliver around five projects each.

You will also directly deliver 2-3 projects, around 40-50% of your time and will be the single point of contact in the Ministry for schools and external consultants working on the projects you deliver directly.

You will also be the first escalation point for issues on any project within your Delivery team.Key skills : Leading strategically in a fast paced and complex portfolioStakeholder relationship management with a diverse group of stakeholdersProblem solving and collaboration to deliver great results with maximum impactPlease note that there is further information in the attached Position Description.

About youYou are a strategic leader who is experienced in project management and leadership in a dynamic and complex environment.

You will have a strong track record of using project management methodologies and organisational processes in achieving efficient outcomes and strong skills in managing risks and implementing lessons learnt.

You will also offer proven skills and experience in leading and managing a team of professionals and critically important stakeholders both at a programme and project level.
