We are seeking two motivated and reliable Project Coordinators, who will be responsible for coordinating the primary care and testing response for COVID-19 within the Northern Region Health Coordination Centre (NRHCC).

This is a great opportunity to be involved at heart of the COVID-19 pandemic response. You will be an integral part of a tight and high-performing team that are dedicated to making a difference to our community.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of community testing which includes our semi-permanent and temporary Community Testing Centres and mobile testing services.

This role provides leadership and support to our service providers to ensure they are to deliver testing services effectively and respond to outbreaks.

You will lead the commissioning and decommissioning of services, allocate and manage referrals for mobile testing services, and liaise with various stakeholders as part of the COVID-19 response.

The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a fast paced environment, has the ability to learn quickly and has a can-do attitude with the ability to multi-task.

We work closely as a team so you will be a strong team player with the ability to ask to help and delegate.

The successful candidate will have :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification - health or relevant field (preferred not necessary)
  • 3 years’ experience in health, housing or welfare sector with a proven track record of managing or co-ordinating complex services, projects or programmes
  • Experience in quickly building and managing relationships with key stakeholders including service providers
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • This is a full time role based in Auckland CBD, and rostered weekend will be required during outbreaks. Ideal candidate will be available to work over either the Christmas or New Year period.
