This is an exciting opportunity to be lead of the new MRI service within MidCentral Health’s Acute and Elective Specialist Services.
This position will have ongoing clinical oversite for the MRI service working alongside the Charge MRI Medical Imaging Technologist.
You would be expected to support the maintenance of the policies and procedures that are required to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
MidCentral Health is a tertiary centre for Oncology with a varied and interesting mix of pathology. There is a varied range of general radiology services provided which can accommodate a varied workload.
This is a Monday to Friday role with no on call component.
MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000.
In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures.
Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
