Auckland City, AucklandSpectrum Care Trust supports people with disabilities to live great lives in the community. With over 100 sites across the Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Whangarei and Wellington regions, we provide a wide range of services for disabled people of all ages and their families.
Due to a resignation, an opportunity has arisen for a talented HR professional to join our HR team, which is a part of People & Culture for Spectrum Care that also includes recruitment and L&D specialists.
We have a large workforce. This role includes a heavy dose of ER but to support the organisation's broader and strategic objectives we really need a generalist.
By that we mean someone with skills and motivation to help build and sustain a capable and engaged workforce to serve disabled people.
To be successful, you will certainly need to have a solid grounding in NZ employment law and the capability to provide a high level of support for formal performance processes.
As important as that is, we don't just want HR Advisors to be the 'ambulance at the bottom of the cliff'. We also want you to build the skills of managers and staff to avoid and resolve issues themselves before they escalate.
And we want you to develop and contribute to a range of workforce initiatives that attract, develop and value our people.
Alongside HR competencies, your high EQ to develop relationships with internal customers, deal with difficult situations and work collaboratively may be just as critical.
And because this is a generalist role, as well as ER and workforce development, there will also be a requirement for your ongoing assistance with a variety of administrative, analytic and compliance tasks.
Therefore, to be truly successful in this role, you will need good personal management skills that will enable you to balance the various transactional and developmental tasks that come across your desk.
This can be a challenging role but there is also plenty of scope to contribute and for self-development if you are organised and self-motivated.
And it's great to know that your successes will make a positive difference for New Zealanders with disabilities and their whānau.
If that opportunity appeals to you, then please apply now!For any enquiries please contact Suzanne on (09) 634 9716 quoting the reference number.
