Our Motor Assessing team has IAG placed as a market leading, dynamic motor assessing business. We have a great opportunity for the right individual to develop and progress their career as part of our high performing team.

This position can be based in the Wellington Region, Palmerston North or the Hawkes Bay region and will be starting in January 2021.

So what will you do?

As one of our Motor Assessors, you'll work from a digital assessing platform (ORM) where jobs are assessed after a quote is tendered by our network of repairers.

  • You'll manage all aspects of referred claims, assessing damage, reviewing repair specs, arranging an agreed repairer and managing the repair process;
  • keeping all parties informed of progress along the way.

    At times you'll be required to carry out visual inspections of structural repairs to ensure repair processes are being followed to manufacturer's specifications.

    What we're after is..

    A customer focused individual with sound knowledge of auto body and mechanical repair procedures, including the latest developments in technology.

    You'll have a proven ability to accurately and independently assess and agree repair costs with external repair providers.

    You'll possess a sound understanding of repair methodologies that reflect current practices.

    Ideally you will have a Trade Certification Panel Beating from the Collision Repair sector, preferably with I-Car qualifications.

    However, this is not a must have requirement as the team are open to looking at applicants with Trade experience. To help you perform well in this role you'll be competent in keyboard and PC skills with knowledge of industry quoting packages.

    Previous experience of assessing in the Insurance industry would be advantageous.
