Physiotherapists - Musculoskeletal Outpatient

The Outpatient Physiotherapy Department at Dunedin Hospital is seeking motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapists to join the team on a full time or part time basis.
We are looking for team-players with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who are driven and proactive in developing and learning and shows proficiency in managing a busy and varied caseload.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of three years’ relevant experience which includes working in musculoskeletal assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
Experience with both routine and complex rheumatology and orthopaedic conditions, pelvic health and with the management of persistent pain and chronic pathologies would be an advantage.
We are looking for clinicians who can work autonomously while engaging with our well-established and supportive team and participate in regular peer review and collaboration.
This role involves working with a wide range of patients referred from Fracture Clinic, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and other specialist outpatient services, as well as General Practitioner and community referrals including first presentation ACC injuries.
You will also be responsible for teaching and supporting rotational staff and students.

Dunedin Hospital is a tertiary care facility and our outpatient service provides pain therapy, hand therapy, musculoskeletal, cardio respiratory, plastics, pelvic health and lymphedema services to patients across the Southern DHB area.
You will be part of a dedicated team supporting patients to remain at home and also provide essential follow-up intervention after discharge.

Our team run simulation training sessions to enhance education for our staff and students, and we work closely with the University of Otago’s School of Physiotherapy supporting student education throughout clinical placements.
