Job Description

We are inviting Expressions of Interest for the role of Service Delivery Manager Smoking Cessation. This role is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of the Quitline service

  • Quitline delivers the highest quality service to its Service Users, and the Service Delivery Manager will play an integral part in ensuring this is maintained, improved, and promoted;
  • employees are engaged and trained to provide a quality service and upholds being smoke free.

    More specifically your role will involve :

    Providing leadership and support to all direct and non-direct reports driving performance and engagement and living the values and behaviours of Whakarongorau Aotearoa

    Leading an effective team culture that focusses on delivering a person centred, recovery focused, respectful and non-judgemental service approach

    Ensuring objectives are met, where calls are answered promptly and effective advice / support is given to service users.

    Ensuring employee performance and conduct issues are managed fairly and appropriately

    Providing input into the development of the service Annual Plan, budget and strategy objectives, with monthly reporting to the Director Population Health against objectives, key performance indicators, and clinical and non-clinical outcomes.

    Managing the Quitline budget

    Work collaboratively with the Shift Operations Manager to ensure budgetary and performance targets are met

    Qualifications and Experience

    Ideally, we are seeking candidates with

    A tertiary professional qualification

    4+ years of management / leadership experience

    Experience within a Telehealth or health technology organisation

    Experience in holding confident coaching, behaviour, and performance conversations

    Skills and Competence

    Ability to be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

    Ability to navigate, support, follow and lead change management initiatives

    Confident with technology and the application of service measures

    Sound understanding of the principles of both clinical and non-clinical service delivery and quality improvement

    Proven ability to influence and lead process improvement
