We are seeking candidates with excellent customer service for our client who wants their visitors to have a warm and friendly welcome at its doors.
At the current time, the DHB must screen people who arrive at its doors to ensure they are safe to enter a controlled environment and understand what is required of them to keep themselves, the staff and patients safe while they are here.
The role of a Visitors Screening Officer will be to engage with people who arrive, check whether they are safe and permitted to enter and answer their questions and concerns with kindness and compassion modelling high standards of customer service.
Ensure all visitors are greeted and managed according to policy and in a safe including respecting cultural needsEstablish the reason for their visit so they can be correctly categorised and processedProcess all visitors and patients using the three screening questions as written on the Screening Form.
Decline or approve entry accordingly based on the result of the screening.Correctly apply the visiting policy and named exceptions when determining whether the person is authorised to enter.
Liaise with Charge Nurses, Duty Managers and the Visiting Entrance Coordinator as needed to manage variations appropriatelySkills required : Ability to demonstrate kindness and compassionExcellent communication skills engage with all peopleExcellent customer service skills in answering questions, providing reasons and listeningConfident manner answer clearly, know the key informationProblem solving skillsConflict management skills know when to escalate and seek assistance and how to manage thisThese roles are rostered , Monday to Sunday - 7 : am to 3 : pm and 2 : 45pm to 11 : pm.
