Minimum Requirements :

  • Significant previous experience as an operations manager (or equivalent) in an aviation environment.
  • Experience working within the Australian and New Zealand regulatory context, including experience with ensuring compliance with relevant aviation legislation
  • Significant experience managing a range of different functions within aviation
  • Experience in providing consultation and advice to others
  • NZ Residency / Citizenship
  • The Role :

    This role will cover the following :

  • Oversight and coordination of the day of operations function
  • Ensuring that operations activities are conducted in accordance with both New Zealand and Australian regulatory requirements.
  • Taking responsibility for coordinating and resolving operational issues that span multiple departments across the Fixed Wing Division where those issues have a direct impact on client satisfaction, on time performance or network stability
  • Coordinating non standard flight operations including regulatory liaison (Customs, Border Force, AQIS etc.), ferry / charter arrangements and regulatory approvals.
  • Acting as first point of contact and resolution for all non-standard operations issues (i.e. AOG resolution, any issues that impact on customer satisfaction or issues that cause network delay).
  • You will need :

  • Significant previous experience as an operations manager (or equivalent) in an aviation environment.
  • Experience working within the Australian and New Zealand regulatory context, including experience with ensuring compliance with relevant aviation legislation
  • Significant experience managing a range of different functions within aviation
  • Experience in providing consultation and advice to others
  • Adaptability, flexibility and responsiveness to operation changes.
  • Significant experience with managing client relationships including taking a proactive approach to issue resolution
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to bring parties together to resolve critical and non-critical day of operations issues..
  • High level of business acumen with the ability to manage operational demands
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated professionalism and integrity with a proven ability to take accountability for your own work.
