The Strategic Treaty Policy and Capability team has been created to lead large strategic initiatives across the Policy and Trade Branch, and the organisation.
It is also the Secretariat to Ngā Pouwhiro Taimatua, MPI's Māori Advisory
The team provides Branch-wide intellectual leadership in responding to Māori primary sector policy issues and leads strategic direction in implementing the Māori primary sector strategy as we align with Māori economic development initiatives.
The team will also lead and support Treaty policy to elevate the Māori Primary
