    The construction team at our Murray Halberg construction site in Lynfield, is looking for a proactive and reliable person to join our team as a Construction COVID Wellbeing Coordinator on a 6 month fixed term contract.

    The hours will be 6.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings, when required. Start times may vary so you will need to be available from 6am, when required.

    In this role you will :

  • Oversee infection control practices and the site declaration process, escalating any COVID-19 risks that are identified
  • You will also provide wellbeing support to the construction teams on site, promoting Ryman's Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives
  • You will ensure Ryman issued posters and / or signage is displayed on site and updated as required.
  • Act as a point of contact for any questions on site related to wellbeing (including COVID-19)
  • Educate & communicate the site construction workers on infectious control procedures and good hygiene practices
  • Perform routine and adhoc temperature checks for site
  • Identify any potentially ill workers or risk factors, and escalate to the relevant people and teams
  • Perform basic first aid
  • You will also use, maintain and administer health and safety systems and tools
  • Provide health and safety administration support
  • Who are you?

  • Ideally, you will have experience in a site-based role within the commercial or residential construction industry
  • You are highly organised and are proactive and innovative
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • You will have strong communication and relationship building skills
  • You are welcoming with a non-threatening approach, with the ability to diffuse situations that may arise
  • You are supportive, empathetic, and assertive
  • Are computer-literate
  • Ideally possess some formal qualifications in the H&S / Wellbeing space
  • Have the ability to perform basic first aid
  • You strive for excellence; delivering a high-quality service at speed will be second nature and you keep going, even when there are bumps in the road
  • You believe in the value of strong, positive, trusting teams who work together as one
  • You value communication that is simple, clear and straight to the point
