MASH is an accredited provider of community based residential and rehabilitation support services. We support a range of people with differing needs to live as independently as possible in the community.
The Community Service Team provides community-based housing with support staff available depending on the level of need, throughout the Palmerston North, Horowhenua and Tararua Regions.
If you are passionate about making a difference and helping others, this may be the role for you. Previous experience in not essential, life skills and transferable skill sets will support your application.
The Job :
This role involves traveling to meet with people on a one to one basis in the community. You will be part of a dynamic team that provides support targeted to meet the needs of the individual and whanau.
Support may involve recreational, social or vocational activities.
The Skills :
Passion for people, flexible approach, team player, good listener, self-motivated and good initiative.
Relevant experience or qualification is desirable but not essential. Support Workers come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, but all have one thing in common, the desire to enable others to develop resilience and move forward with their recovery.
You will have a current First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain one (funded by MASH) and a full manual driver’s licence.
Hours of work :
This role Is a Casual position and weekend work may be required so, flexibility with this is a must.
