He angitūtanga About the role
As a Ranger, Biodiversity you will be joining our talented Biodiversity team carrying out critical natural heritage conservation work programmes across the district.
While you will be actively working across a range of different projects, a key focus for the role will be in the planning and delivery of pest animal control programmes utilising a range of methods including trapping, shooting and toxins.
Other projects include :
Your day to day work will take you across the district, carrying out biodiversity work on and off public conservation land, according to work plans.
Your skills and experience in natural heritage work will see you not only doing conservation work but also teaching, coaching, supporting and / or overseeing Rangers, community groups and volunteers doing conservation work in the field.

Someone who is comfortable working in the field or in the office and wants to make a difference for conservation in South Canterbury.
