We are in a fast paced environment that puts our customers at our focus of what we do.Business Unit : Alto Packaging LtdLocation : AlbanyAbout the Role : We are looking for an experienced Plastics Technician - Setter to join our fantastic team at Alto Albany.

This role is about ensuring the efficient running of the production machinery and ensuring the process has the capability to meet all facets of the customer’s requirements in a manner that does not compromise the safety of the team members.

This role operates on a rotating shift roster, so your flexibility is key to your success in this role.Key responsibilities include : Performing die changes on thermoforming equipment, including setup of ancillary equipmentStart-up of extrusion machinesEnsuring that the product is up to quality specifications at start upAssisting with the efficient operation of the production areaCarry out routine maintenance on work centresTrouble shooting problems with machines, tools, and ancillariesTraining and monitoring machine operatorsWe’re looking for : Plastics Trade qualification to level 4 or relevant work historyPlastics manufacturing experience in the technical and / or food packaging products fieldAn understanding of Quality Assurance systemsGood level of demonstrated mechanical experienceExceptional interpersonal skills - enjoy working in partnership with people to achieve resultsWorking knowledge of lean principles and methodologies in the manufacturing environmentKnowledge of and experience working in a continuous improvement environmentActively promote Health & SafetyBe proactive and have a can-do attitudeCan demonstrate written, oral and communication skills in line with the requirements of the roleIn return we offer : Great Team CultureFree on-site car parkingDiscounted health insurance premiums through Southern CrossDiscounted rates and savings through our anz work benefits programApplicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
