Te Mana Whakamaru Tamariki Motuhake (The Independent Children’s Monitor) provides independent oversight across the Oranga Tamariki system.

Its primary role is to monitor those organisations that have custody and care of children and young people with a focus on supporting improved outcomes for them and their whānau.

This is achieved through feeding back to organisations, communities and agencies, as well as reporting findings to the Minister.

The Kairuruku Tira - Team Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the functions of our Monitors or front-line staff. In this role you will work across the monitoring teams of the Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch offices.

Your key responsibilities will be to provide exceptional administration support and assistance to the teams, including but not limited to travel arrangements;

calendar management; stakeholder coordination; event management; and document and information management. We are keen to find someone who likes to problem-solve, find efficiencies, and develop processes to improve our operations.

We are looking for an experienced administrator who is :

Be familiar with government systems including travel and financial processes

A team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues to achieve the best outcome for the business

Experienced in implementing mini projects to improve efficiency

The term Oranga Tamariki system is used to describe any agency services provided to children and young people under the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 and includes all agencies that provide services to children in the Oranga Tamariki system, for example health, education and disability services and includes non-government organisations.
